Trailblazing

October 27, 2022

“I still remember the first time I heard Jonathan say, ‘My faith in Christ has helped make me a better Indian.’ Until that moment I had tried and failed to keep my ‘tradish’ [traditional] side and my ‘church’ side in their own boxes. Yet here stood a man who embraced both together, and I could see the presence of God on him. I consider it an honour to not only know Jonathan as a man, but to know him as a brother. The paths he and Broken Walls blazed for so many of us helped us be the people we are now. I would not be the man I am today without his influence and wisdom in my life.”
