Jonathan was invited to sing and share at the 2018 Oglala Camp Meeting in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. Each of the three days had a time of worship and a gathering where all who attended could have a meal together. On Thursday, Jul 12th, there was a horseshoe tournament, on Friday, July 13th, there was a basketball tournament, and on Saturday, July 14th, there was a prayer walk through Pine Ridge.
Jonathan led worship on Friday, and spoke and sang on Saturday. On Saturday, Jonathan was also joined by several youth leaders from the House of Prayer Kansas City who led worship.
Several people both young and old, both native and non-native attended the camp. The people danced, cried, and prayed for the healing of the land and its people. One young man who was considering suicide the night before stood with his arms raised with tears in his eyes as Jonathan sang ‘Rise Up Mighty Warrior.’
We must honour Jonathan’s mom, Norma Blacksmith because she acts on the vision she has in her heart for her people. Hope is being released and people are joining in the vision.
Also, thank you to Pastor Eric and his team at The Re Creation Center in Oglala for their amazing support of Norma’s vision and the people of Pine Ridge. Thank you to everyone who supported Jonathan with love and prayers.
