Kako Family Camp, 2019
Monday, May 27, 2019
Jonathan, Bill and Kenneth Simpson were invited to Kako Family Camp near Russian Mission, AK to minister to families in the Yukon-Kusko Region and to train them to ‘Carry the Cure’ to other villages.
On the way to the village, we heard awesome testimonies of how the people are still being impacted by our ministry among them on the Iditarod Outreach 2016.
Our first presentation was on Friday evening to a packed house. Bill shared his heart and laid out the plan for the weekend. On Saturday morning, Kenneth Simpson shared his testimony.
On Saturday evening, the house was completely packed. Everyone joined in, singing and dancing. It was glorious. Jonathan spoke about the potential of the love of Jesus in us to change the world around us, no matter how young or old we are. We prayed for people who wanted to change how they interacted in their relationships with others. We prayed for healing and the stirring up of the gifts within.
Jonathan prayed that each person would understand how special they are and the potential they have to not only change themselves, but everyone around them including their families, friends, community and even all of Alaska.
Bill’s message on Sunday tied together all of the messages that we shared over the weekend. After finishing our lunch, we presented a ‘Committed to Life’ youth program.
We shared deeply on this trip and the people were engaged. It was wonderful to see the men enter in as well.
