Carry the Cure & Broken Walls in Mat-Su Valley, Alaska
Thursday, January 29, 2015
Carry the Cure was recently asked to present Committed to Life assemblies to young people in Mat-Su Valley, Alaska and Jonathan was asked to join them. They also did school assemblies in Palmer and at Job Corps as well as speaking at local church services.
The assemblies were great. The young people were enthusiastic and responsive to the message. About 100 students came up to them to give them high fives, fist bumps, thumbs up and thank yous. One young lady was even in tears. Several teachers came up to thank them afterward because they felt that the presentation was so inspirational.
When Jonathan was young, a band with a message visited his school and it made quite an impact on him. He felt that many of the young people were also impacted in the same way. Thank you for partnering with Broken Walls and Carry the Cure to help them encourage the next generation to rise up into their destinies and callings.
Jonathan and Bill visited the Church on the Rock in Palmer and presented the vision of the upcoming Iditarod Outreach to remote communities in Alaska. This the sixth year of the outreach and they are scheduled to visit the last two remaining villages along the trail as well as several others.
