Fort Severn, Ontario
Tuesday, April 29, 2014
Jonathan recently travelled to Fort Severn, Ontario which is the most northern community in the province. This was his first visit to this isolated community. Upon arriving, his first stop was to the home of the Deputy Chief where he did protocol and shared his heart with all who had gathered in the home.
Jonathan was kept very busy in Fort Severn. His evening concerts were well attended by both young and old. During the day, he met with the children and young people for a time of sharing and encouragement.
He was also invited into many of the homes. What a wonderful way to build new relationships and to get to know the people!
The last night there was really great. Lots of people came from the community for the evening concert. There were even song requests. During the debrief with the leaders afterward, some of them said that they felt that there was hope for their people.
Jonathan looks forward to returning with Broken Walls in the near future.
