Iditarod 2013
Tuesday, March 19, 2013
Broken Walls just returned from an amazing tour along the Iditarod Trail. This year’s Broken Walls and Carry the Cure team included Bill Pagaran, Jonathan Maracle, Brandon Maracle, Jaymi Millard, Seth Adkins, Tim Mikkelsen, Carol Sullivan, Dana Hoffman, Many Curtis and Mark Lewis. This team worked well together. Everyone was so committed to doing their part, serving one another with absolute kindness and love. During the tour, they visited Nenana, Galena, Grayling, Golovin, White Mountain and Nome. They had planned to visit Koyuk but the weather prevented them from flying on the day intended. So Bill and Jonathan travelled along the trail by snowmobile to Anvik for an impromptu school assembly. A large part of the community showed up and it was a great event.
Jonathan shares: “We had over 100 people give their hearts to Jesus on this trip. We travelled by snowmobile over the mighty Yukon River, we honoured chiefs, cleaned schools and worked with beautiful children. I long to do this in Canada. The need is so great. Please pray that we can raise funds and find the people who will be a part of this type of outreach in northern Ontario.”
Bill shares: “I just want to thank ALL of you that supported the Carry the Cure Iditarod Outreach 2013. This year was that best, yet. Over a hundred came to the Lord, so many rededicated, many were prayed for and others encouraged. The favor of God was given to the team everywhere we went. The team did such an amazing job from beginning to end. Keep watching my Facebook account, Carry the Cure’s and Broken Walls for pictures, testimonies and stories. Most will probably be posted on my Carry the Cure account and my personal account. Thanks for your support!”
