Restoring the Father’s Dream
Saturday, May 10, 2008
We recently held the gathering “Restoring the Father’s Dream” at Desert Stream Christian Fellowship in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. The gathering was very well attended (full every night) and had people from across the continent.
We were honored to have this wonderful attendance of leaders, Dr. Suuqiina and his wife Quamanique from Nashville TN, Ojibway Pastors Joseph and Ann Waswa from Fort Hope Ontario, Fern Noble (Cree) from California, Rita Beargray (Cree) from Washington, Norma Blacksmith (Lakota) from Pineridge, South Dakota, Adrian Jacobs (Cayuga) from Six Nations, Colleen Estees and Simeon Moose (Ojibway) from Pikangikum Ontario, Troy and Kelly Adkins (Chikahomeny) from Virginia, Barry and Luanne Greene (Oneida/Mohawk/ Onondaga) from Syracuse NY, Gerrard & Pita Roberts from Mississauga, ON, as well as Broken Walls.
Each night was opened with the honor drum and almost everyone danced their worship (First Nations style) unto the Creator with a fervor seldom seen in the church. There was great liberty in the house. There were? 2 speakers along with testimonies from individuals of what is happening in communities across the land. We heard testimonies of hearts and bodies healed. There is truly an awareness being made and an embracing of the fact that our Creator wants His children to walk in self respect as who he made them. That we no longer have to be ashamed of who we are but that we can be used in an even greater way among our own people when we accept our God given identity.
